Urgent Need of Supplies as ADRN Responds:
State of Emergency Declared in the Wake of Tornado Outbreak
Multiple tornadoes struck several Midwest and Great Plain states over the weekend as severe weather moved through the region.
At least four people were killed, including an infant, more than 100 injured, and power was knocked out for tens of thousands, as the storms left a trail of destruction in their wake.
The twisters struck in Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa, with a few confirmed in Texas as well. More than 50 storms had been reported, ranging from EF-0 to EF-3, and the threat of severe weather continues this week.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt declared a state of emergency, as waves of “severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, hail, and flooding” impact cities and communities.
Specialized teams were called in to survey the catastrophic level of damage in cities like Elkhorn, Nebraska and Minden, Iowa.
ADRN is ready to mobilize alongside partners currently assessing the situation on the ground.
