Austin, Texas, February 10, 2023 – Volunteer teams from several Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) member churches will head out into their communities this weekend to help clean up fallen trees, branches, and other debris left behind by the winter storm. ADRN has received more than 1,900 requests for help from Greater Austin residents in need, including those with physical or financial limitations. Teams will gather, organize, and then disperse across the region early Saturday morning, responding to as many needs as they can this weekend and in the coming days.
Anyone who would like to help with this enormous cleanup effort can join in. Find details about locations, times, and how to connect with a network church team on our Winter Storm 2023 Response Page (adrn.org/ws2023).
Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs)
The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) has also joined multiple other local organizations at a series of Multi-Agency Resource Centers for residents impacted by last week’s winter storm. ADRN volunteers will be on hand to help those in need to sign up for cleanup assistance.
The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC), hosted by Austin Public Health, is scheduled for the following locations:
- Friday, February 10, from 9 am to 7 pm, at the Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez Street
- Saturday, February 11, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Austin Community College Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Blvd.
Those who would like to support this disaster response and others like it through ADRN can donate to our General Disaster Fund through our Winter Storm 2023 Response Page (adrn.org/ws2023).
