Parmer Lane Fire

Austin, Texas, August 9, 2023 – The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) is preparing emergency supplies to support Cedar Park residents impacted by the Parmer Lane Fire yesterday afternoon and overnight. In coordination with the American Red Cross, ADRN plans to take hygiene kits and Hope Family Thrift Store vouchers, and other supplies to evacuated residents today.

“Even at this early stage, while firefighters still work to contain the blaze, we know that many people have suffered a huge loss in this fire,” said ADRN Associate Director Stephen Brewer. “We want to get items that they need into their hands right away. Items like clothing and hygiene items like toothbrushes can make a huge impact for those who escaped the fire with little to nothing left. We’re honored to serve our neighbors this way.”

Local officials report that one apartment building at the Bexley at Silverado Apartment Complex has been completely destroyed, and three others suffered damage. As the full impact of the Parmer Lane Fire becomes clear in the next hours and days, ADRN will continue to coordinate potential response efforts with the American Red Cross and local government officials.

We encourage the public to support ADRN’s disaster response efforts, such as the Parmer Lane Fire and others, with financial donations at ADRN.org/give. Additional updates on ADRN’s response to the Parmer Lane Fire will be posted on the ADRN.org website and on social media channels at @ADRNTX.
