2 Day Course | 14 Hours | Friday, Feb 22, 6PM-10PM & Saturday, FEB 23, 8AM-6PM Location - TBD ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. All participants will receive a certification of completion in Disaster Psychological 1st Aid and CISM/CISD (Critical Incident Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) after completing 14 hours of course time. This training is also recommended for teens 16 years of age and above. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Scholarships are available to those challenged by financial hardship. HOPE PRAYER ROOM - Healing Room Training Saturday, February 23, 9:00AM- 5:00PM Location: Hope Prayer Room, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Healing Room Overview, This training is equipping the body of Christ with resources, tools, and experience that prepares the heart to actively respond to the desire of God's heart in ministry. This training focus' on healing ministry, outreach evangelism, corporate deliverance awareness, and how to study the Word of God (Word Watch). This is open to anyone who has a heart to minister to the broken hearted and to reach the lost and advance the kingdom of God through His mighty works. We have seen hundreds go through this training and they have all seen signs and wonders unveiled during these teachings and practical training. Location: Hyde Park Baptist Church, 3901 Speedway, Austin, TX 78751 Training dates are January 20, 27, February 10, 17, 24 and March 3, 2019 Preparedness Peace covers topics of: Why Prepare, Teamwork and the Power of a Plan, How to be Water Wise and Food Sense, Power Alley, Having a Safe Home, About Grab & Go Bags, and Establishing Home Security. What you will accomplish by the end of Preparedness Peace is family plans and documents, safe home assessment, lighting and energy plans for power outage, evacuation plans with maps and routes, minimum three day food and water storage, car kit, home emergency supplies established, grab and go bags, shelter-in-place room and supplies and spiritual preparedness. The manual includes grab & go bag information, car and preparedness checklist, and more. This class is open to anyone that wants to attend. DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Training is FREE! Finish this training – sponsor a family! Click to register! DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training – Course Time 3.5 hours: The Disaster Relief Shepherd (DRS) is one of ADRN most important leadership roles a volunteer can play within their church in times of disaster. The DRS job is to be willing to walk along side a family that has potentially lost everything and needs a Good Samaritan to be there for them through the process of recovery until their feet are back on the ground. This training will equip you with the skills, knowledge and plan to take care and provide extended assistance that cannot be given by governments or International relief agencies. This training is FREE. ADRN Orientation & Preparedness Training and a Background Check is required to become a Disaster Relief Shepherd and receive an ADRN advance trained white badge with SHEPHERD title. 26 hour training | 6 Nights of Training from 6:30PM-10:00PM (6:00PM on March 11 only for Registration) & Saturday, March 30, 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Simulation) Location: Bethany Lutheran Church, 3701 Slaughter Lane, Austin, TX 78749 Course Dates: March (2019) 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 & 28, & Simulation March 30 Cost of Training: $95 ADRN CERT Training is a 7-day, FEMA backed, and nationally recognized course that will equip and train you in the essentials of disaster preparedness for your local community. You will learn Fire Safety, Light Search & Rescue, Disaster Medical Operations & Psychology, Terrorism and experience a Disaster Simulation. This is an excellent course and well worth the time invested in it! You will be able to use the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, to assist others in your neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Scholarship funds are available for full-time students and those impacted by financial hardship.
