AUSTIN DISASTER RELIEF NETWORK RESPONSE UPDATE: CLEAN UP ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FOR TORNADO SURVIVORS, MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTERS OPENING WILLIAMSON COUNTY AND ROUND ROCK
Austin, Texas, March 24, 2022 – Several Austin Disaster Relief Network churches are calling on their members and the community to help local residents in the wake of this week’s tornadoes. Volunteer teams will fan out across Jarrell, Elgin, Granger, Round Rock, and other communities to help homeowners clean up debris and fallen trees in the coming days.
Residents who need help can request assistance through the ADRN Disaster Survivor Hotline at 512-806-0800. Volunteers stand by to answer the hotline Monday through Friday, 9 am – 6 pm. The Hotline will also operate on special hours this Saturday from 9 am – 6 pm.
Those who’d like to volunteer on a cleanup team can connect with their ADRN member church, or join a team with the Samaritan’s Purse ministry. Visit adrn.org/ctxtornadoes-volunteers for more information.
MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTER OPENING IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY NEXT WEEK
ADRN will participate in a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) for tornado survivors at the Williamson
County Expo Center next week. The MARC serves as a “one-stop shop” for those who’ve been impacted by the storms to meet with several agencies and organizations offering emergency services, supplies, and long-term recovery support.
“With so many people in Williamson and Bastrop counties impacted by these devastating tornadoes, we’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with other agencies and give these people the help and support they need,” said ADRN Executive Director Daniel Geraci. “ADRN-trained volunteers will meet with survivors to help meet their urgent needs as well as offer emotional and spiritual care. We’re here to offer hope to those in
Jarrell, Elgin, Granger, Taylor, and other nearby communities, and let them know they don’t have to go through this crisis alone.”
The MARC will be open the following dates and times:
• Tuesday, March 29, 10 am to 6 pm
• Wednesday, March 30, 10 am to 6 pm
• Thursday, March 31, 9 am to 3 pm

MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTER (MARC) IN ROUND ROCK
Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) is also participating in the Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) for tornado survivors that opened today. Staff and volunteers from ADRN, the Red Cross, Catholic Charities, Texas Baptist Men, Round Rock Serving Center, and other support organizations are on hand to meet with those who’ve been impacted by the Central Texas Tornadoes. Survivors who attend the MARC can receive emergency supplies, request financial assistance, and meet with organizations including ADRN for individual casework.

DONATIONS OF FUNDS AND SURVIVOR CARE KITS
ADRN asks the Central Texas community to assemble and donate Survivor Care Kits, and bring them to the Hope Family Thrift Store (HFTS) for distribution. HFTS will collect these kits from 10 am – 5 pm Monday through Saturday.
