Jennifer Morales

Jennifer Morales has a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to whoever needs to hear it. In fact while she was studying for her Masters in Chaplaincy, one of her professors suggested that she volunteer with a local organization where she could freely share the gospel and serve others. Jennifer found ADRN and jumped right in volunteering.

First thing, she deployed to the small community of Hankamer last summer after it was devastated by flooding from Tropical Storm Imelda. Jennifer was a trained CISM volunteer (click here to take the training this week) and said it was an amazing experience “I was able tell survivors that God so loves them that he sent volunteers from Austin to help them.”

Jennifer also speaks Spanish. When ADRN needed Spanish speaking volunteers to help with their COVID19 HOPE Days, Jennifer again answered God’s call to help. Jennifer shared that she met two survivors that impacted her. “One was a lady who needed financial help. She shared her need to reconcile with God but she didn’t know how to. It was really awesome to guide her through prayer and to reassure her that God had her back without any condemnation. I also shared that God was waiting for her to return to Him with open arms to fill her life with grace. This was totally amazing!“

“Another survivor I talked with saw the What’s after ATX book ADRN was handing out to families impacted by the COVID crisis. He told me that his daughter had been asking questions about death and the after life and he didn’t know how to respond to her. Fortunately, I was able to tell him the good news and give them a book. What a great experience to be used by God!”

Jennifer has been a great gift to ADRN and those who she serves. We are so thankful for her service. Jennifer told me to tell you.. if you’re thinking about volunteering, just do it! “I want to tell you.. go ahead and don’t waste any more time. If God has put this thing in your heart, it’s because He can do great things through you. You will see God’s hand move and impact people’s hearts.”
