The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) is supporting residents impacted by the Parmer Lane Fire in Cedar Park this week. 34 apartments at the Bexley at Silverado Apartment Complex have been destroyed or damaged by fire, and at least 40 more suffered smoke or water damage.
In coordination with the American Red Cross, ADRN has offered hygiene kits, Hope Family Thrift Store vouchers, emergency assistance, and other supplies to survivors. We are also offering short and long-term support through our Disaster Relief Shepherd Program.
Our region remains unusually hot and dry, making the danger of wildfires extremely high. If a fire sparks near your home, you and your family may need to evacuate at a moment’s notice.
We strongly recommend that you prepare Grab & Go Bags for each family member as well as have a Family Evacuation Plan in place. Download free checklists for both of these today.
The Hope Family Thrift Store accepts donations of new and gently used items to support disaster survivors like those impacted by the Parmer Lane Fire. We especially need clothing, particularly men’s clothing and new, packaged undergarments at this time.
Bring donations to the store at 13801 Burnet Road, #200, Austin, TX 78727
