What you will accomplish by the end of Preparedness Peace is family plans and documents, safe home assessment, lighting and energy plans for power outage, evacuation plans with maps and routes, minimum three day food and water storage, car kit, home emergency supplies established, grab and go bags, shelter-in-place room and supplies and spiritual preparedness. The manual includes grab & go bag information, car and preparedness checklist, and more. This class is open to anyone that wants to attend. DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training – Course Time 3.5 hours:  The Disaster Relief Shepherd (DRS) is one of ADRN most important leadership roles a volunteer can play within their church in times of disaster. The DRS job is to be willing to walk along side a family that has potentially lost everything and needs a Good Samaritan to be there for them through the process of recovery until their feet are back on the ground. This training will equip you with the skills, knowledge and plan to take care and provide extended assistance that cannot be given by governments or International relief agencies. This training is FREE. ADRN Orientation & Preparedness Training and a Background Check is required to become a Disaster Relief Shepherd and receive an ADRN advance trained white badge with SHEPHERD title. ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 9 hr training - 3.5 hours each night - from 6:30PM-10:00PM, October 16, 23 & 30 What would it look like for the Body of Christ to walk in the beauty of Christ’s compassion for the lost, hurting, desperate and needy in times of disaster?  In Luke 10, Jesus tells a story of the Good Samaritan and the Christ-like compassion this man had, willing to lay down his life to help his neighbor in times of great need.  He provided the basic essentials of physical needs, emotional needs and demonstrated Christ-like love to shine the light of the gospel upon the soul of the survivor.  Are you ready and prepared to do the same?  Are you able to sustain life as the hands and feet of Christ?  The goal of this training is to equip you in multiple ways to help you demonstrate the compassion of Christ in order to meet the needs of those affected by disaster. .
