The CRISES you don't hear about in the NEWS...

ADRN is taking steps to help our region’s most vulnerable citizens, and we need your help.

When a child’s sense of stability is shaken by a crisis like poverty, hunger, homelessness, or in the aftermath of a natural disaster, their needs are just as important as those of the adults who are impacted.

That’s why ADRN is launching multiple strategic initiatives to benefit the children and families of Austin.

SCHOOL HUNGER CRISIS

Food insecurity — not knowing where your next meal will come from — is a serious problem faced children in our greater Austin area. Collaborating with a local partner, ADRN has identified five Austin schools to help address this problem. Beyond providing meals for students facing hunger, we will also offer emotional and spiritual care to students and families in need.

SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM

Many children rely on school meals as their primary source of nutrition. Our Summer Food Program will help ensure that low-income students in under-served communities can receive healthy meals during school breaks and throughout the summer months, preventing food insecurity and offering care to students and families in need.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Through collaborations with Austin Shoe Hospital and Bombas, this program supports students from five identified schools, providing essential back-to-school resources including shoes and backpacks.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERNS

Investing in the next generation, we will train teenagers to facilitate a 2025 Summer Kids Fair focused on crisis preparedness. We create a culture of preparedness and resilience by equipping youth with leadership skills and engaging local children.

Our fundraising goal for the next ninety days is $350,000 to fund these initiatives and maintain our core disaster relief programs, including:

ESSENTIAL RELIEF SUPPLIES

Your support helps provide essentials for families in crisis that are critical in promptly restoring stability and dignity. In order to have these available at a moment’s notice, we need to always keep a supply on hand of:

2,500
CLEAN-UP BUCKETS

2,500
HYGIENE KITS

2,500
VOUCHERS

(prepaid VISA Mastercard/HEB Cards)

Our mission is to glorify Christ by equipping, empowering, and mobilizing volunteers, churches, and like-hearted organizations to shepherd people affected by disaster and meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
