Become an ADRN Volunteer – First Steps

In and out of disaster response, Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) serves those in need. With the help of volunteers working alongside our efforts (Community Volunteer or ADRN Volunteer), survivors and those in crisis are able to receive relief through the compassion at the heart of EVERY volunteer serving within our organization.

Become a Community Volunteer

Anyone from the community is welcome to sign up as a Community Volunteer at any time, in or out of disaster response, without joining our network. In a disaster, Community Volunteers who share our compassion to help those in crisis are essential to the response impact we have in meeting survivor needs quickly and efficiently.

Individuals, businesses, corporations, groups, or organizations can sign up as Community Volunteers in areas like clean-up, donation management, volunteer hospitality, and more. Everyone has a role when it comes to serving communities in a time of need.

Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form if you are interested in volunteering.

ADRN offers a complete range of Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual trainings designed to equip the church to walk out the commission of Jesus Christ and meet the needs of people who have experienced disaster-related trauma. Each of our trained church network volunteers find their niche and level of participation within our organization through various core teams, training pathways, and leadership roles.

We take several steps to ensure all of our church network volunteers meet local agency, government, and city requirements. Our partnership with these organizations gets us “behind the yellow tape” and allows us to do what we do best—serve others in times of disaster.

To become an official ADRN Yellow Shirt Volunteer and join our network, please follow the following steps:

  1. Review our official volunteer Statement of Faith.
  2. Click here to set up your ADRN Volunteer profile in the volunteer portal.
  3. Complete the Online Background Check. (Link available in the volunteer portal.)
  4. Sign up for I AM™ Ready Basic Training.
This is ADRN’s required basic training course for all Church Network Volunteers.
