Orientation & Preparedness Training

Thank you for your interest in ADRN.  ADRN is comprised of Greater Austin churches with thousands of volunteers trained, equipped and prepared to meet the physical, emotional & spiritual needs of survivors of disaster. Our mission - to positively impact those affected by disaster by revealing the love of Jesus - is carried out by preparing our volunteers and empowering them to use their gifts to serve others in times of need.

Lives and communities change instantly when a disaster occurs. We believe that in the moments following the initial disaster, ADRN can have a powerful impact. To be prepared and ready, ADRN has created volunteer pathways that help our volunteers identify their strengths and choose how to best use their gifts. Whatever your level of involvement, whether preparing your family and church, assisting families in need, training in response skills, volunteering on our support teams, or leading in times of crisis, ADRN welcomes you. Our introductory class, ADRN Orientation & Preparedness Training will provide answers to your initial questions and help you find your comfort level of support within our organization.

Every new volunteer that wants to join ADRN must take this 3hr class for an introduction to ADRN, how to get involved, and the impact we are having on our community and/or families w serve in times of disaster. Every volunteer that completes this course will receive an ADRN badge and become a certified ADRN volunteer.
