CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Training 1/2 – August 2019
2 Day Course | 14 Hours | Friday, Aug 30, 6PM-10PM & Saturday, Aug 31, 8AM-6PM Location - Grace Covenant Church Auditorium, 9431 Jollyville Road, Austin, TX 78759 ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. All participants will receive a certification of completion in Disaster Psychological 1st Aid and CISM/CISD (Critical Incident Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) after completing 14 hours of course time. This training is also recommended for teens 16 years of age and above. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Scholarships are available to those challenged by financial hardship. CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training 1/7 June 2020 – Postponed until October 5
26 hour training | 6 Nights of Training from 6:30PM-10:00PM Postponed until October 5 A donation of $50 requested to take this training. ADRN CERT Training is a 7-day, FEMA backed, and nationally recognized course that will equip and train you in the essentials of disaster preparedness for your local community. You will learn Fire Safety, Light Search & Rescue, Disaster Medical Operations & Psychology, Terrorism and experience a Disaster Simulation. This is an excellent course and well worth the time invested in it! You will be able to use the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, to assist others in your neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. I AM Ready Basic Training & Preparedness Grace Covenant Church, 9431 Jolllyville Road, Education Bldg., Austin, TX 78759 6:30 PM-9:00 PM - September 14, 2021 Every new volunteer who wants to join the ADRN network is required to take this 2.5 hour class to give you an introduction to ADRN, information about ADRN training, a training roadmap for volunteers, badging/credentials, how emergency response works in Greater Austin and CERT individual/family preparedness training.
