Walking in the Spirit Part 2/3
Walking In The Spirit Online Training - By Online Registration only Tuesdays February 12, 19 & 26 Course Time: 9 hours - Must complete all 3 modules to receive credit for course Click to register Walking in the Spirit in Times of Disaster: This course is designed to remove any mystery behind walking in the Spirit and give practical steps in how to do so, especially in times of crisis. Areas of focus will be: practicing the fruits of the spirit, agreeing and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and what it means to walk, live and be led by the Holy Spirit. We will also consider our current challenges as humans and how to overcome through His grace; and there will be lots of practice time. If you live stream with us you will need to complete and submit answers to test questions by 5PM each day following each day of training. Video Training is available from 12:00 PM Tuesday of each module date to 12:00 PM the following Thursday of each module. You will need to complete a test by 5:00 PM the Thursday following at the end of each session to receive credit for the course.

ICS-100 & ICS-700 FEMA Courses Saturday, March 16, 9:30AM-12:00PM at ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 ICS-100 is a FEMA course that introduces how volunteers to the Incident Command System (ICS) that FEMA and local governments work within and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). ICS-700 introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents and describes the purpose of the NIMS Components including: Preparedness, Communications and Information Management, Resource Management, and Command and Management and then describes the purpose of the National Integration Center. These trainings are FREE. They are pre-requisites to receive ADRN CERT+ Certification. REGISTER HERE

IS-317 FEMA Course - Refresher Course for ADRN CERT Recertification Saturday, March 16, 12:30PM-1:30:PM at ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 IS-317 : The purpose of this course is to help you review the classroom-based CERT Basic Training course that is available three times a year by ADRN CERT Trainers. This training (WBT) includes many practices useful for dealing with emergencies that may occur in non- disaster situations. The classroom-based training (CBT) includes many additional skills and protocols you can learn through demonstration and hands-on practice in the classroom. This class is for all previous ADRN CERT trained volunteers only. Once you successfully complete the CBT, cleared a new background check at www.adrn.org, and completed ICS-100 & 700* you will have met all ADRN requirements to be re-certified CERT Trained for another 3 years. *If your ICS-100 & !CS-700 training is over 3 years old you need to retrain. Location: ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Saturday, June 22, 8:45AM-5:00PM Course Time 8 hours: Participants will be able to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Students who successfully complete 8 hours of training and successfully demonstrate skills will receive a certificate from American Red Cross for CPR/First Aid/AED – Adult/Child/Infant which will be valid for two years. 4 hour training | 6:00PM - 10:00PM | Tuesday, August 20 ADRN Headquarters, Conference Room, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Training is FREE! DRC Training is for those interested in becoming a representative of their church to the Network, giving leadership to the ADRN volunteers within your church pre and post disaster. The DRC is also the main communicator within the church to inform church members and volunteers of up and coming trainings. The DRC’s main objective is to help their members and church to become ready in the event of a crisis through the guidance of ADRN. Every church on the network is required to minimally have two DRC’s. Database Training gives the DRC tools to access the ADRN Database for their church’s ADRN volunteer base along with useful tools to communicate with their team. Location: ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Saturday, 8:45AM-5:00PM Course Time 8 hours: Participants will be able to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The program teaches skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Students who successfully complete 8 hours of training and successfully demonstrate skills will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross for CPR/First Aid/AED – Adult/Child/Infant which will be valid for two years. 6 hour training - 9:00AM - 3:00PM (with breaks) - Lunch is provided! ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Training is FREE! IMT (Incident Management Team) Training - Course Time 5 hours: The Incident Management Team (IMT) is a key leadership team composed of experienced and trained volunteers that ADRN relies on in times of deployment. The role of an IMT member is to assist with the planning and management of ADRN deployments of both ADRN badged volunteers and community volunteers. These deployments are in times of disaster preparedness, such as simulation, and times of disaster response. ADRN goal is to have a deep bench of trained IMT members across all 12 sectors of the ADRN 5-County region. The IMT training will provide a refresher on the Incident Command System (ICS) and a focused discussion on how ADRN utilizes the ICS to achieve the assigned operational objective (e.g., CISM debriefing at an intake center or door-to-door; muck-out/clean-out, donations management, etc) in a God-honoring manner. Following completion of the IMT training, and certification as a member of the IMT, opportunities will be made available to practice the IMT skills through the use of disaster simulations.
