Through our Physical Training program, ADRN offers training in preparedness to equip volunteers, families and individuals to better serve their community in times of crisis or in disaster. American Red Cross CPR/ First Aid/AED Safety Course
Course Time 8 hours: Participants will be able to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Students who complete 8 hours of training and successfully demonstrate skills will receive a certificate from American Red Cross for CPR/First Aid/AED – Adult/Child/Infant which will be valid for two years. (RC Level 2) Training cost is $95 (Scholarship pricing available).
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT+)
(I AM Ready Level 2*) This 7 day, FEMA backed, nationally recognized course will equip and train you in the essentials of disaster preparedness for your local community, such as Fire Safety, Light Search & Rescue, Disaster Medical Operations & Psychology, Terrorism and Disaster Simulation. This is an excellent course and well worth the time invested in it! You will be able to use the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, to assist others in your neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. You must complete ADRN Orientation & Preparedness Training (2.5 hours), all 7 days (26 hours) CERT Training, clear a background check, and compete both IS-100 and IS-700 training courses in order to receive certification.
Preparedness Peace is a small-group basic disaster preparedness course designed to build a foundation for a lifestyle of preparedness. In this 12 hour, 6-week course, you will learn how to prepare your home and family for most types of disasters. This course will change your life!
Disaster Assessment Training (DAT)
DAT is the tip of the spear in disaster response. DAT teams are ADRN’s first boots on the ground in the field. They identify the area and degree of destruction. Their assessments provide leadership with the critical information necessary to properly deploy resources and volunteers.
