American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/ AED and Safety Courses

ADRN offers training in preparedness to equip volunteers, families and individuals to better serve their community in times of crisis or in disaster. ADRN offers the American Red Cross CPR course which covers Adult/Child/Infant CPR, First Aid and AED.  Certification is valid for two years. ADRN also offers training in FAST Safety 101. Usually the first to deploy in disaster, this team of individuals responds with First Aid skills and safety knowledge to assist volunteers and victims. FAST teams, following initial assessment of areas impacted by disaster regulate safety procedures for those entering the field.   Check our training calendar for future training dates>

 


Course Overview

American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Training – Infant/Child/Adult

Course Time 8 hours: Participants will be able to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Students who successfully complete 8 hours of training and successfully demonstrate skills will receive a certificate from American Red Cross for CPR/First Aid/AED – Adult/Child/Infant which will be valid for two years. (FAST) Safety 101 Training

Course Time 3 hours: The First Aid Safety Team (FAST) is for ADRN volunteers who have background in First Aid or Safety and desire to increase their knowledge in order to become an asset to ADRN operation deployments, survivors, the volunteer teams they support, and their community. The FAST Volunteers will operate in the field to assure Safety and First Aid protection, prevention and provide basic provision when needed. All FAST volunteers will start with Deployment Safety 101 training and can proceed to advanced trainings in: Advanced First Aid 101, Wilderness First Aid, Pet First Aid and others. The FAST Volunteer receives advancement badges according to training received, meeting attendance, and deployment hours. To reach Level 1, a volunteer needs ADRN Orientation, CERT (with ICS-100 & ICS-700), Psalm 91 (Spiritual Readiness Training) and Deployment Safety 101. Further requirements will be shared with you as you continue working with the team. Training is FREE.
