A Commitment of Stewardship and Trust

And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.” (Luke 12:42-43 ESV)

At ADRN, we take God’s command to be faithful stewards very seriously. So, we’re deeply grateful to receive commendations for excellence from two organizations dedicated to reviewing nonprofits and their finances.

This month, ADRN received the Excellence In Giving Transparency Certification due to our commitment to a higher standard of open and accountable relationships with donors. We’re also honored to have earned a 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency, GuideStar’s highest level of commendation for nonprofits.

“At ADRN, we are committed to the wise stewardship of funds we receive from our donors,” said Michael Gish, ADRN Chief Financial Officer. “This Platinum Seal of Transparency is a strong indication to all that we have placed great importance on financial accountability and transparency. We want to offer full assurance to our donors that all gifts entrusted to us fulfill the mission of our organization.”

Good stewardship translates into trust, which translates into resources for the mission.

Recent studies confirm that good stewardship translates into trust, which translates into resources for the mission. According to Give.org’s 2020 survey,* 63.6% of contributors consider their trust in an organization as the most important factor when they decide where to give their dollars. The survey also shows that recommendations from organizations like Excellence In Giving top the list of what donors look for when they decide who deserves their trust.

In other words, receiving these endorsements means more people have more reasons to support ADRN and help more people, bringing more hope into our community in times of crisis.

Our organization depends on strong relationships and partnerships across many sectors of our community to fulfill our calling – relationships built on trust. These partnerships fuel ADRN’s ability to bring hope into crisis for disaster survivors and equip the local church to serve our neighbors in the worst of times with skill and compassion. We’re excited for the opportunity these commendations afford us to strengthen our existing partnerships and widen our circles to develop new relationships.

We know there are lots of needs and worthy causes out there, and we’re honored each and every time you share your resources with us. It’s a privilege we take seriously, and we will continue to work hard to earn and maintain your confidence in us.
