Woodview, Leander, Tx 78641 ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. IS-100 & IS-700 FEMA Overview & Test ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 9:30AM - 10:30AM -- IS-100 is a FEMA course that introduces how volunteers to the Incident Command System (ICS) that FEMA and local governments work within and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). 11:00AM - 12:00PM -- IS-700 introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents and describes the purpose of the NIMS Components including: Preparedness, Communications and Information Management, Resource Management, and Command and Management and then describes the purpose of the National Integration Center. 4 hour training - 9:00AM - 1:00PM Riverbend Church in Quad 3, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78746 Training is FREE! DAT is the tip of the spear in disaster response. DAT teams are ADRN’s first boots on the ground in the disaster field. They identify the area and degree of destruction. Their assessments provide leadership with the critical information necessary to properly deploy resources and volunteers. This training will cover spiritual readiness for first response; disaster assessment procedures, roles and challenges; safety and typical hazards encountered; and a practice disaster assessment. To qualify for DAT designation, participants must be CERT or ham radio trained, 21 years old, and in good physical condition. Conflict Resolution in Times of Crisis Training - Part 3 Virtual Simulation December 15, 2020, 6:30PM-9:30PM Live Streamed Virtual Simulation with Daniel Geraci This is a virtual simulation to complete Part 3 of Conflict Resolution. You are eligible to participate in this simulation once you've completed Part 1 & 2 of Conflict Resolution videos and achieved 70% or better on each of the quizzes. Once you've met Part 1 & 2 requirements and register for the simulation you will receive an email invitation giving you instruction how to join the virtual simulation. When you successfully complete Part 3, the simulation, your training profile will indicate you have completed the course. You may want to take the Conflict Resolution Challenge offered at the end of the course to receive a certified status in your training profile.
