Conflict Resolution Training - 3 Part Course Tuesday November 19, December 3 & 10 - 6:30PM-9:30PM Course Time: 9 hours - Must complete three 3-hour modules to receive credit for course Register Here Do you feel challenged when it comes time to resolve conflicts between you and your loved ones, neighbors or co-workers? If so, this is the class that will not only equip you but will also give you the confidence to face the challenges we all face every day. ADRN is hosting this important spiritual training to provide the necessary tools for volunteers to help loved ones, friends, neighbors or victims affected by disaster, experiencing great stress and conflict within their marriage or family. The course will teach you how to deal and resolve conflict in a biblical and godly way. You will need to complete tests by 5:00 PM the Thursday following at the end of the first two modules to receive credit for the course. MONTHLY PREPAREDNESS TRAINING - PREPAREDNESS MEET UP Riverbend Church, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78746 7:00PM-9:00PM - Room 5-A Part of the mission of ADRN is to train, prepare and equip volunteers to be ready to respond quickly in the event of a disaster. To further that mission, Volunteers from ADRN facilitate Monthly Preparedness Training meetings each second Thursday of the month. Each month, participants will hear from a speaker on a selected preparedness topic, such as severe weather, creating a food storage plan, improving security at home, work and church, water purification, alternative energy systems, and much more. We also plan to hold skills training as well to keep volunteers sharp and ready for the next disaster. There are no prerequisites to attend. ADRN Monthly Preparedness Training is open to all, including non-ADRN members. We hope this training will help strengthen our community and encourage more people to become better prepared. Location: ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Saturday, December 14, 8:45AM-5:00PM Course Time 8 hours: Participants will be able to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Students who successfully complete 8 hours of training and successfully demonstrate skills will receive a certificate from American Red Cross for CPR/First Aid/AED – Adult/Child/Infant which will be valid for two years.
