2 Day Course | 14 Hours | Friday, February 28, 6PM-10PM & Saturday,  February 29, 8AM-6PM Location - Grace Covenant Church, 9341 Jollyville Road, Austin, TX 78759 ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. All participants will receive a certification of completion in Disaster Psychological 1st Aid and CISM/CISD (Critical Incident Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) after completing 14 hours of course time. When you live stream you will need to complete a test by 5:00 PM the Thursday following at the end of each session to receive credit for the course.

IS-100 & IS-700 FEMA Overview & Test ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 9:30AM - 10:30AM -- IS-100 is a FEMA course that introduces how volunteers to the Incident Command System (ICS) that FEMA and local governments work within and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). 11:00AM - 12:00PM -- IS-700 introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents and describes the purpose of the NIMS Components including: Preparedness, Communications and Information Management, Resource Management, and Command and Management and then describes the purpose of the National Integration Center. The DRC is also the main communicator within the church to inform church members and volunteers of up and coming trainings. The DRC’s main objective is to help their members and church to become ready in the event of a crisis through the guidance of ADRN. Every church on the network is required to minimally have two DRC’s. Database Training gives the DRC tools to access the ADRN Database for their church’s ADRN volunteer base along with useful tools to communicate with their team. DAT teams are ADRN’s first boots on the ground in the disaster field. They identify the area and degree of destruction. Their assessments provide leadership with the critical information necessary to properly deploy resources and volunteers. To qualify for DAT designation, participants must be CERT or ham radio trained, 21 years old, and in good physical condition.
