ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Tuesdays April 24, May 1 & May 15, 6:30PM-9:30PM Course Time: 9 hours - Must complete all 3 nights to receive credit for course Click to register! Biblical Readiness Training – Course Time 9hrs: ADRN is hosting this foundational training class to help volunteers become spiritually prepared and grounded in truth to help those in need, in times of disaster (including yourself). This class will also teach you how to apply 7 key provisions made available to every born again believer, to empower you to stand against the wiles of the enemy and to walk in faith to overcome trials and tribulations that may occur in times of crisis. This training meets three consecutive Tuesdays and all 3 nights need to be attended to receive credit. (RC Level 2) Training is FREE. Video Streaming available at www.adrn.org/br. HAM Team Meeting is to support all ADRN HAM trained volunteers. Come learn how to program your radio, proper radio communications, how to build HAM go bag tools like antennas, generators, etc.Find out more »
Training is $35 prepaid online & $45 at the door. Location: Grace Fellowship Church, 19615 Boggy Ford Road, Lago Vista, TX 78645 Training dates are April 11, 18, 25, May 2, 9, &16 from 6:30PM-8:30PM Preparedness Peace covers topics of: Why Prepare, Teamwork and the Power of a Plan, How to be Water Wise and Food Sense, Power Alley, Having a Safe Home, About Grab & Go Bags, and Establishing Home Security. What you will accomplish by the end of Preparedness Peace is family plans and documents, safe home assessment, lighting and energy plans for power outage, evacuation plans with maps and routes, minimum three day food and water storage, car kit, home emergency supplies established, grab and go bags, shelter-in-place room and supplies and spiritual preparedness. The manual includes grab & go bag information, car and preparedness checklist, and more. This class is open to anyone that wants to attend. ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 6:30PM-9:30PM, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 Every new volunteer who wants to join the ADRN network is required to take this 3hr class to give you an introduction to ADRN, information about ADRN training, a training roadmap for volunteers, badging/credentials, how emergency response works in Greater Austin and CERT individual/family preparedness training. 4 hour training | May 17 | 6:00PM - 10:00PM ADRN Headquarters, Training Room, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 Training is FREE! DRC Training is for those interested in becoming a representative of their church to the Network, giving leadership to the ADRN volunteers within your church pre and post disaster. The DRC is also the main communicator within the church to inform church members and volunteers of up and coming trainings. The DRC’s main objective is to help their members and church to become ready in the event of a crisis through the guidance of ADRN. Every church on the network is required to minimally have two DRC’s. Database Training gives the DRC tools to access the ADRN Database for their church’s ADRN volunteer base along with useful tools to communicate with their team. 4 hour training | May 19 | 9:00AM - 1:00PM Riverbend Church, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78746 Training is FREE! DAT is the tip of the spear in disaster response. DAT teams are ADRN’s first boots on the ground in the disaster field. They identify the area and degree of destruction. Their assessments provide leadership with the critical information necessary to properly deploy resources and volunteers. This training will cover spiritual readiness for first response; disaster assessment procedures, roles and challenges; safety and typical hazards encountered; and a practice disaster assessment. To qualify for DAT designation, participants must be CERT or ham radio trained, 21 years old, and in good physical condition. Others not presently qualified may participate to receive DAT designation upon completing prerequisite training. HOPE PRAYER ROOM ORIENTATION Saturday, May 19, 9:00AM- 6:00PM Location: Tentative (Hope Chapel Church) Come learn how to enter and usher others into the throne room presence of the Lord through praise, worship, and prayer! This is a 9 hour entry level training to Hope Prayer Room instructed by Jonathan Maas. Topics will include: Biblical basis for a prayer room; values of the prayer room; ADRN structure and how the prayer room fits in; policies and etiquette of the prayer room; prayer room purpose, mission & vision; structure of the prayer room; roles and responsibilities of prayer room volunteers; prayer room functions during a disaster; and more. Each class will have 3 segments: Practical information, Spiritual training, and live prayer room practice. At the end of the 9 hour training you will receive a HPR General Volunteer badge.
