On Demand at your own pace from August 25 - October 27 Not on site - In your own home! Followed by Skills Practice/Evaluation on Saturday, October 30, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Simulation on Saturday, November 6, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Jollyville Fire Deparmtent There is no cost to take this training - There will be an opportunity to give a love offering. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) classroom training is now On Demand! Do this 12-hour FEMA online training in the comfort of your home and on your schedule, instead of carving out 5-6 specific nights to attend on site. To complete the 28-hour FEMA requirement, ADRN offers a unique 2.5 hour Spiritual Training component, a 8-hr on-site Skills Practice/ Evaluation, and a 8-hr Simulation on two consecutive Saturdays. Some of the topics covered include: Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Medical Operations, Disaster Psychology, Fire Safety, Light Search and Rescue, and Terrorism and so much more! What makes ADRN CERT qualifications unique from other CERT training is the spiritual training component we provide along with the life-like CERT simulations. Training is $35 prepaid online before August 27 & $45 thereafter and at the door. Location - 4712 Lake Champlain, TX 78754 Training dates are Mondays starting August 30 and ending October 4 - 6:30 PM-8:30 PM Preparedness Peace covers topics of Why Prepare, Teamwork and the Power of a Plan, How to be Water Wise and Food Sense, Power Alley, Having a Safe Home, About Grab & Go Bags, and Establishing Home Security. What you will accomplish by the end of Preparedness Peace is family plans and documents, safe home assessment, lighting and energy plans for power-outage, evacuation plans with maps and routes, the minimum three-day food and water storage, car kit, home emergency supplies established, Grab & Go bags, shelter-in-place room and supplies, and spiritual preparedness. The manual includes grab & go bag information, car and preparedness checklist, and more. This class is open to anyone that wants whether you are a member of this church or not.
