Online Training | 6 Hours | Anytime March 3-17 Simulation March 19 & 20 Online Training in your home. ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. All participants will receive a certification of completion in Disaster Psychological 1st Aid and CISM/CISD (Critical Incident Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) after completing 6 hours of course time then participating in a 3 hour Simulation. This training is also recommended for teens 16 years of age and above. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Click on Training/Scholarships for more information. Conflict Resolution in Times of Crisis Training - 3 Part Course Tuesdays, March 4, 2021 - Live Simulation, 6:30PM-9:30PM Course Time: Three 3hr sessions (9 hours) - Must complete all three 3-hour sessions to receive credit for course You will also have the option to become certified in this training when you complete the two week challenge after receiving credit for the course. DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training Moderated Thursday, March 4, 2021, 6:30PM – 9:30PM Live Online Moderated by DRS Team Lead Training is FREE! Finish this training – sponsor a family! DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training – Course Time 3 hours: The Disaster Relief Shepherd (DRS) is one of the most important leadership positions that a volunteer can fulfill within their church in times of disaster. The DRS role is to to walk along-side a family, that has potentially lost everything, who needs a Good Samaritan to walk with them through the process of recovery, until their feet are back on the ground. This training will equip ‘shepherds’ with the skills, knowledge, and plan to provide immediate and long-term assistance, that enables the survivor to re-establish a viable lifestyle. This position does not require that the shepherd make any personal financial investment or invite surviving families into their home. This training is FREE.
