Conflict Resolution in Times of Crisis Training - 3 Part Course Part 1 & 2 - (Two videos & two quizzes) --- August 9-August 15 Part 3 - Live Virtual Simulation with Daniel Geraci --- Tuesday, August 18 Course Time: Three 3hr sessions (9 hours) - Must complete all three 3-hour sessions to receive credit for course You will also have the option to become certified in this training when you complete the two week challenge after receiving credit for the course. Live Online Zoom Meeting Every new volunteer who wants to join the ADRN network is required to take this 2.5hr class to give you an introduction to ADRN and the training we provide, a volunteer roadmap for training and service, badging/credentials, how emergency response works in Greater Austin, individual/family preparedness and Prayer Hotline training as a base training for response. Every volunteer who completes this course will receive an ADRN yellow badge, become an official ADRN volunteer and certified to join the ADRN Prayer Hotline Team. DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training On Demand - August 13, 2020, 6:00PM – 9:00PM On Demand Training is FREE! Finish this training – sponsor a family! Click to register! DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training – Course Time 3 hours: The Disaster Relief Shepherd (DRS) is one of the most important leadership positions that a volunteer can fulfill within their church in times of disaster. The DRS role is to to walk along-side a family, that has potentially lost everything, who needs a Good Samaritan to walk with them through the process of recovery, until their feet are back on the ground. This training will equip ‘shepherds’ with the skills, knowledge, and plan to provide immediate and long-term assistance, that enables the survivor to re-establish a viable lifestyle. This position does not require that the shepherd make any personal financial investment or invite surviving families into their home. This training is FREE. Note: Most courses listed require volunteers to login. Login access is provided to our volunteers after completion of ADRN’s Orientation and Preparedness course. Online registration and payment for classes in advance can prevent an additional $25 administrative fee added to payments received at the door.
