IS-100 & IS-700 FEMA Courses Saturday, September 21, 9:30AM-12:00PM at ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 IS-100 9:30AM-10:30AM IS-100 is a FEMA course that introduces how volunteers to the Incident Command System (ICS) that FEMA and local governments work within and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). IS-700 11:00AM-12:00PM IS-700 introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents and describes the purpose of the NIMS Components including: Preparedness, Communications and Information Management, Resource Management, and Command and Management and then describes the purpose of the National Integration Center. . Grace Bible Church, 2100 Shell Road, Georgetown, TX 78633 10:30AM-1:00PM, Saturday, September 21 Every new volunteer who wants to join the ADRN network is required to take this 3hr class to give you an introduction to ADRN, information about ADRN training, a training roadmap for volunteers, badging/credentials, how emergency response works in Greater Austin and CERT individual/family preparedness training. IS-317 FEMA Course - Refresher Course for ADRN CERT Recertification Saturday, September 21, 12:30PM-1:30:PM at ADRN Headquarters, 1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723 IS-317 : The purpose of this course is to help you review the classroom-based CERT Basic Training course that is available three times a year by ADRN CERT Trainers. This class is for all previous ADRN CERT trained volunteers only. Once you successfully complete this refresher training, cleared a new background check at www.adrn.org, and completed IS-100 & 700 you will have met all ADRN requirements to be re-certified CERT trained for another 3 years. Note: Most courses listed require volunteers to login. Login access is provided to our volunteers after completion of ADRN’s Orientation and Preparedness course. Online registration and payment for classes in advance can prevent an additional $25 administrative fee added to payments received at the door.
