26 hour training | 6 Nights of Training from 6:30PM-10:00PM (6:00PM on September 9 only for Registration) & Saturday, September 28, 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Simulation) Location: Twin Lakes Fellowship, 1500 South Bell Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613 Course Dates: September 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 & Simulation Sept. 28 There is no cost to take this training - A Love Offering will be received at this training ADRN CERT Training is a 7-day, FEMA backed, and nationally recognized course that will equip and train you in the essentials of disaster preparedness for your local community. You will learn Fire Safety, Light Search & Rescue, Disaster Medical Operations & Psychology, Terrorism and experience a Disaster Simulation. This is an excellent course and well worth the time invested in it! You will be able to use the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, to assist others in your neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Scholarship funds are available for full-time students and those impacted by financial hardship. MONTHLY PREPAREDNESS TRAINING - PREPAREDNESS MEET UP Riverbend Church, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78746 - Quads 7:00PM-9:00PM Part of the mission of ADRN is to train, prepare and equip volunteers to be ready to respond quickly in the event of a disaster. To further that mission. members from Riverbend Church facilitate Monthly Preparedness Training meetings each second Thursday of the month thereafter. Each month, participants will hear from a speaker on a selected preparedness topic, such as severe weather, creating a food storage plan, improving security at home, work and church, water purification, alternative energy systems, and much more. We also plan to hold skills training as well to keep volunteers sharp and ready for the next disaster. There are no prerequisites to attend. Preparedness Meet Up is open to all, including non-ADRN members. We hope this training will help strengthen your community and encourage more people to become better prepared. Note: Most courses listed require volunteers to login. Login access is provided to our volunteers after completion of ADRN’s Orientation and Preparedness course. Online registration and payment for classes in advance can prevent an additional $25 administrative fee added to payments received at the door.
