DRS (Disaster Relief Shepherd) Training – Course Time 3.5 hours: The Disaster Relief Shepherd (DRS) is one of ADRN most important leadership roles a volunteer can play within their church in times of disaster. The DRS job is to be willing to walk along side a family that has potentially lost everything and needs a Good Samaritan to be there for them through the process of recovery until their feet are back on the ground. This training will equip you with the skills, knowledge and plan to take care and provide extended assistance that cannot be given by governments or International relief agencies. This training is FREE. ADRN Orientation & Preparedness Training and a Background Check is required to become a Disaster Relief Shepherd and receive an ADRN advance trained white badge with SHEPHERD title. If you are not yet an ADRN Volunteer you can go to www.adrn.org click on Training then Upcoming Orientations to find one that is convenient for you.
