ADRN highly recommends this internationally recognized training for volunteers who are called to help people in times of crisis and/or called to the mission field. This training will equip participants to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual issues most people encounter in times of disaster, including trauma, learning debriefing techniques and much more. The CISM Core Team (certified CISM Instructors) instructs this class. All participants will receive a certification of completion in Disaster Psychological 1st Aid and CISM/CISD (Critical Incident Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) after completing 6 hours of course time then participating in a 3 hour Simulation. This training is also recommended for teens 16 years of age and above. You will need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Click on Training/Scholarships for more information. To be credited for this class you need to complete 14 hours of training.
Requirements to take this training is to complete I AM Ready Basic Training and background check clearance. To become certified and able to respond immediately in times of disaster this free FEMA IS-100 training must be completed. To get started click here IS-100

Training cost is $95 – Scholarships ($47.50) are available to full-time students and those impacted by Covid-19. To apply for a scholarship go to www.adrn.org, click on Training then Scholarship Application. You may also consider volunteering in the Hope Family Thrift Store for 16 hours in lieu of registration fee (volunteer hours need to be served before registering for training).
