D. Chaplaincy Application Process:

Step 1.
Candidate must submit a completed and executed copy of the Chaplain Questionnaire (Chaplain Academy Questionnaire Feb 2014)

Step 2.
Provide three spiritual references and three personal references (see below for details). Guidelines for the reference letters are provided (To the Candidate – Letters of Recommendation 10-19-13). Each reference letter should prominently indicate as to whether it is a spiritual or personal reference.

REFERENCE LETTER HELPFUL TIPS:
3 Spiritual References:
Please contact Pastors, Clergy, Church Staff & Professionals and ask them to email their personal recommendation (see link for guidance). Ask them to tell us how long they have known you and in what capacity, why they think you would be a good candidate to be a chaplain, and how they might see the Lord using you as a Chaplain.
Note: The recommendations need to come directly to chaplaincy@adrntx.org from those referrals – not through the candidate.

3 Personal ( Non-Family ) / Business References Please contact friends, associates, and business partners and ask them to email their personal recommendation.

Step 3.
Submittal of a passport style photo would be very helpful.

Step 4.
Submission of Documents: Reference letters must be submitted directly to ADRN and not through the applicant and will be held in confidence.  The completed questionnaire and required references should be sent to chaplaincy@adrntx.org .

Step 5.
All candidates will also participate in a personal interview prior to participation in the first class. The exception to this requirement would be for someone only desiring a certificate of completion and not desiring to serve as an ADRN Chaplain.

Step 6.
Upon receipt of the above submission requirements (questionnaire & references), the candidate will receive information allowing access to register for the trainings.

Step 7.
Each class must be taken in order when registering for a Training Course Grouping.  If a candidate misses the second class within the Training Course Grouping, they may not proceed to the third class previously scheduled, but will be able to join with the next Training Course Group and pick up with the second class and proceed toward the third and final class, etc.

Please email chaplaincy@adrntx.org should you have any questions regarding the above.
